Purpose and Scope of VETS GWAC

Why is VA sending so many RFQs to VETS?

On December 22, 2006, President George W. Bush signed into law the Veterans Benefits, Health Care and Information Technology Act of 2006 (Public Law 109-
461). This law contains important provisions effecting veteran entrepreneurs in the conduct of VA acquisitions and applies solely to VA. The law formally establishes, in statute, a procurement hierarchy/contracting preference that moves SDVOSBs and VOSBs to the head of the line in VA acquisitions.
