The SDVOSBs have previously been successful in providing the Air Force with support
and have a particularly strong presence in operations and supplies, especially in the areas of
information technology, security, construction, custodial, environmental, and medical services.
To support this endeavor, we encourage the use of the tools authorized in FAR 19.14 that will
enable the Air Force to meet or exceed our 3 percent SDVOSB goal. These tools include setasides
for SDVOSBs, federal supply schedules, and finally when appropriate sole source awards.
Also, the use ofVetBiz.gov and the General Supply Schedule (GSA) SDVOSB Govemmentwide
Acquisition Contract (GWAC) provide sources for service-disabled veteran businesses.
